What Does Your Shazam Say About You?

The last 10 songs I have tagged on Shazam are as follows:
(Spotify playlist below)

I am the 56 percent! (of the male demo for Girls)
1. "Function" by E-40
2. "When the Levee Breaks" by Led Zeppelin
3. "I Love It" by Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX
4. "O.N.E." by Yeasayer
5. "Some Children" by Holy Ghost!
6. "What You Know" by Two Door Cinema Club
7. "My Only Swerving" by El Ten Eleven
8. "Treeton" by Fang Island
9. "Letter To The Firm" by Foxy Brown
10. "Ritual Union" by Little Dragon

By the numbers, the music I am drawn to is 70 percent hipster, 20 percent thuggish and 10 percent rock & roll.

The takeaway here isn't that Shazam just outed me from the hipster closet or that my personality is this many percent of one thing versus another; I believe a lot of my likes and dislikes are fluid, everchanging with the moons.

The sad reality, however, is that my musical taste is starting to reflect how much more of a hipster I am than I care to admit.

Perhaps not though.  This might also just be a snapshot of my relationship with pop-culture at this very moment; Indie-ish, uptempo, urban, Bay Area local.  I'll take it.
